Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am the founder of Meliation Fashion Production Lab, a textile expert and buyer in Istanbul.
For more than 10 years my professional life belonged to fashion retail in Ukraine: from top retail chains to coordinating processes for local commercial brands. I know how fashion is made: from the first moodboard of a collection to the final sold-out on the rails.
Over the years in fashion retail I understood one truth: even the most brilliant designer sketch will die if it is sewn from the wrong or cheap fabric. When I moved to Istanbul, my goal was to become the eyes and hands of Ukrainian brands in this ocean of textiles.
I know how a quality fabric sounds and feels to the touch, and my main mission at Meliation Fashion Production Lab is to find you that one perfect material. I speak fluent Turkish with factory and warehouse owners and act as your trusted person on the ground.

Absolutely. Textile sourcing and buying is our flagship service. We help you find, test and buy the best materials in Istanbul, assemble a set of swatches for your team in Ukraine and arrange fast delivery of the rolls. And if you later need a proven factory for sewing, we will gladly offer our production management as an additional service.
It depends on the product, fabric, volume and complexity. I give an exact price after costing it at a specific factory with a specific fabric. Product development and launch preparation are a separate service with a fixed fee.
It depends on the product and the factory. The lab works with factories that have a flexible MOQ, so you can launch small capsules as well as large runs. I name an exact number once I understand your product.
From your sketch or reference the factory makes a pattern and sews the first sample. You get photos and, if needed, the sample itself by post. We agree on changes, and the run starts only after your yes.
The development and launch service is paid before work starts. Fabrics, trims and sewing are paid separately: 50% before production starts and 50% before the finished goods ship.
Production starts only after the sample is approved, so the batch matches what we agreed. The accepted defect rate in mass production is up to 3%. If it is higher, we agree on compensation or rework.
Cargo from Istanbul to Ukraine usually takes a matter of days. The exact time depends on the batch size and shipping method, and we fix it before launch.
